HOW TO: Install a Software Application using Compatibility Mode

I'm back... finally and now a tip for my friends that are trying to run older software in Vista or the spiffy awesome windows 7.  Have you ever tried installing an application or program  and got the 'This program is not compatible with this version of Windows yadda,yadda,yadda.....?"
